On August 31th 2025, five dedicated colleagues took part in the Volkstriathlon in Göttingen. In perfect late summer weather, they tackled the athletic combination of swimming, cycling, and running.
The first colleagues started the competition day early in the morning. After the swimming section in the outdoor pool, they set off on the varied cycling route around Göttingen, before the final run marked the way to the finish line. Despite the physical exertion, the mood was positive from the start.
Many visitors had come to cheer on the participants, and there was a lively atmosphere in the Jahnstadion. The organizers provided food trucks to cater to the culinary needs of the guests, and younger visitors were entertained with a bouncy castle, trampoline, and other attractions.
One by one, the runners entered the Jahnstadion and were given a fitting welcome with loud applause and announcements by the presenter. The AES team completed the Volkstriathlon with impressive results. We would like to congratulate our five athletic colleagues on their great performance.
